Taco Charlton had heard all about the atmosphere at Notre Dame, but the junior defensive end from Pickerington, Ohio finally got to experience it for himself on Saturday when he visited South Bend to see the Irish play USC.
“It went great,” the 6-foot-6, 240-pounder said. “It was real fun.”
Charlton’s former Pickerington Central High School teammate and current Notre Dame freshman Eilar Hardy has been in his ear about how Notre Dame is special. The former teammates got the chance to reunite on Saturday.
“He was saying the coaches have been talking about me a lot and it’s crazy to play there and how much he liked it,” Charlton said of Hardy. “I’d really never had a chance to be there and see the atmosphere, I had just heard about it from Eilar. Once I experienced it, I really liked it a lot.
