Notre Dame assistant coach Ed Warinner traveled to Ohio on Monday to check in on the Irish’s only running back commitment in the Class of 2012, Will Mahone (Austintown, Ohio/Fitch).
“It was good,” Mahone said of his meeting with his recruiter. “We talked about a little bit of everything. We talked about some recruits that he was going to see and stuff and my basketball team. We talked about a lot of stuff, just life. It was a good time.”
Mahone, who committed to the Irish in September, saw the Irish play Michigan State and USC in South Bend this fall. Mahone and his mother were excited for the opportunity to visit with Warinner again.
