Colt Pettit already holds several offers as an offensive lineman, but on Tuesday the 2014 Ohio prospect found out Notre Dame thinks he could be a standout defender in college.
The 6-foot-4, 245-pounder from Deshler, Ohio (Patrick Henry High School) made his first trip to South Bend on Tuesday and had the chance to meet with Irish assistants Mike Elston and Bob Diaco.
“The visit went really well,” Pettit said. “It’s an awesome campus. I sat down and talked with Coach Elston and Coach D for a little bit and it was real nice.”
