Irish Sports Daily – Recruiting Notebook

KyleAllen1Notre Dame impressed Mark Andrews during the 2014 Arizona receiver’s visit to South Bend for the Irish’s spring game last weekend and that could end up being huge for both Andrews and a teammate.

The 6-foot-6, 230-pounder from Desert Mountain High School in Scottsdale, Ariz., made the stop at Notre Dame after checking out Ohio State and Michigan.

“He said he had a really good time at all three, but he acted like he really did like Notre Dame,” Desert Mountain head coach Tony Tabor said. “It was definitely within his top group of places. He said he had a really, really good time.”

Andrews could end up returning to Notre Dame for an official visit and there’s a chance he could come back with his teammate and friend, 2014 quarterback Kyle Allen, who the Irish are interested in.
