WASHINGTON — Fresh from a record-setting Big East run that helped lock up a trip back to the NCAA tournament, Notre Dame experienced more of the same Monday against Georgetown.

NOTRE DAME — Notre Dame football recruit Davonte’ Neal’s path to South Bend took another dramatic turn on Monday, when the Arizona wide receiver/kick returner transferred high schools in mid-semester.

The Arizona Republic is reporting that wide receiver Davonte’ Neal, who signed a national letter-of-intent with Notre Dame last week, has withdrawn from Scottsdale (Ariz.) Chaparral High School.

Brian Kelly is confident that his latest Notre Dame signee, Davonte Neal, indeed will matriculate in South Bend.

It’ll be interesting to follow Darius Fleming‘s career after leaving South Bend. The graduating Irish linebacker, who came to Notre Dame with sky-high expectations, heads to Indianapolis with far less fanfare. After being one of the top recruits in the country, Fleming will need a solid evaluation season to even end up drafted. Many assumed…
