The Notre Dame coaching staff is just about done with the recruiting on the defensive line for the Class of 2012.
The Irish have had another great year recruiting along the defensive front with verbal commitments from players such as Jarron Jones and Sheldon Day already and while they continue to recruit California’s Arik Armstead, the staff can turn its focus towards 2013 prospects.
One of those prospects is Tashawn Bower of Immaculata High in Somerville, NJ.
The 6-foot-5, 225-pound defensive end/outside linebacker hybrid has already received offers from Connecticut, Florida State, Maryland, Ohio State, Purdue, Rutgers, Syracuse, Tennessee, Virginia, Virginia Tech and West Virginia. The coveted junior is also receiving interest from Notre Dame, Arkansas, Wisconsin, South Carolina, Florida, Penn State, Oregon and Miami.
Notre Dame defensive coordinator Bob Diaco has maintained regular contact with Bower.
