Zach Shelley is trying to track all of the colleges that are tracking him and that means the 2013 Dallas running back from Parish Episcopal School has been following Notre Dame this season.
“I’m trying to keep my eyes open toward Notre Dame,” the 5-foot-7, 180-pound speedster said.
Shelley, who has been clocked at 4.4 in the 40-yard dash, doesn’t have any offers yet, but said everything is going good with the schools that are recruiting him.
“They’re sending me a lot of letters right now,” he said. “UCLA, Texas Tech, Oklahoma, Arizona, Notre Dame, those are the ones I’ve been hearing the most from off the top of my head. UCLA sends them, if not every day, four times a week.”
Shelley hasn’t had the chance to take any unofficial visits yet, but hopes to do so soon.
“We were busy with football, but our season is over, so maybe I’ll have enough time now,” said Shelley, who would like to see Oklahoma and Texas Tech for sure and possibly UCLA.
