Irish Sports Daily – 2014 QB On ND Radar

DJGillins1Notre Dame has already extended one scholarship offer at quarterback in the Class of 2014 and the Irish continue to evaluate other signal-callers who are set to enter their junior years in the fall.

During the May evaluation period, Notre Dame assistant Scott Booker swung by Eagle’s View Academy in Jacksonville, Fla., to get some information on 2014 quarterback D.J. Gillins.

“Coach Booker stopped by because he’d heard about him,” Eagle’s View head coach Ryan Keith said.

“It was real informal. He picked up his highlight video and his transcripts and saw him and saw that he’s actually, 6-3. A lot of times they say 6-3 and they walk in and he’s 6-1.”
