Tyler Luatua already had an impressive offer sheet, especially for a 2014 prospect. But the offer the California tight end added on Wednesday definitely caught his attention.
The 6-foot-4, 230-pounder from La Mirada High School (La Mirada, Calif.) already had offers from schools like Alabama, Ohio State, Florida State, Miami, Nebraska, UCLA and Vanderbilt before Notre Dame assistant Mike Denbrock extended an offer from the Irish.
“Coach Denbrock was at practice yesterday for a couple hours,” La Mirada head coach Mike Moschetti said. “He called me after practice and said, ‘Have Tyler give me a call I’ve got some good news for him.’
